What is Cams
Cams.com is one of the veterans in the industry. Domain was bought in 1996, and during 2006, it was a serious adult webcam site. Although this site has such a long history, it has gone through many problems with owners. Now, they are still stable platform, but their traffic and models online aren’t as high as their competitors. In the time of this review, there was little over 500 models online.
Design and usability
The homepage looks a bit overcomplicated, but it’s just because of the signup banner under the header. You have the option to select between female, male, and trans cams, that’s standard in the webcam industry. I am somehow missing couples as a choice, but it is possible to choose this option in the left sidebar. And left sidebar is what I found interesting here. They have filtering options like on eCommerce sites, which means you can choose from many filtering options to select only your favorite attributes. You can sort by age, ethnicity, specialty, body types, kinks, and hair colors. That’s something I really like. What I don’t like is profile photo thumbnails that don’t show you what is actually happening in the chatroom. You have to click through and to be honest, it’s a bit slow website, so even on Wi-fi, you have to wait a few seconds until chatroom fully loads. One of the positive things is filtering by region and language in the right top corner above the main content area.
Mobile version
The mobile version of Cams.com is really simple and contains just a little header with a logo, login link, and hamburger menu. Then there are just chatroom thumbnails with model name, age, and gender. After visiting chatroom, there is a big signup button (of course), player and chat. What I miss is the fullscreen mode button, but I appreciate sound on/off button in the player.
Webcam quality
In terms of video stream quality, I didn’t notice any problem. All chatrooms were in good resolution and fluent. Absolutely OK in terms of videochat quality.
Webcam girls
As I said in the first paragraph, there are over 500 models online, which is not so much, but I have to say that there are really hot models (at least females). Out of that 500 models online, about 18 is trans, 130 are men, and the rest are females.
Final words
Cams.com is a solid site with a solid history. Despite a smaller amount of models online, there are really nice ones, and you will definitely pick someone you like (or love). I recommend to make at least a
free account and test it for yourself, you wouldn’t regret it.
